"Guide for Foreigners in Chengdu (III) | How to Get a Mobile SIM Card: Where to Apply and What Options Are Available"

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport SIM Card Tip
If you’re landing at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (T1, International Arrivals), there’s a service desk right by the exit where you can easily pick up a local SIM card. Both international visitors and domestic travelers can get one here, with some special packages just for newcomers.

They also sell phones and provide basic network services—pretty much everything you need to get connected as soon as you arrive in China.

Staying Connected in China
China has four main mobile carriers: China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, and China Broadnet.

If you ever need help, just call their customer service hotlines (you can even dial these for free within China):

📞 China Telecom: 10000

📞 China Mobile: 10086

📞 China Unicom: 10010

📞 China Broadnet: 10099

Tip: Most travelers go with China Mobile or China Unicom, since they tend to have the most convenient SIM card options for foreigners.
